(Didn't mean to set the poll for 3 days, only meant to set it for like 1-2) **TL;DR: Not much is changing going forth. Images containing someone holding a restraint will see more leniency in the approval process, but overall the rule stands that both the caption and captioned image MUST include depictions of physical restraint.** If you voted on the poll, you know that the two options were surprisingly neck and neck. The most recent check I did was literally 102-102, after you subtracted my own vote. However, the comments did not share the same divide. It was next to unanimous amongst commenters that the sub not lose what differentiates it from places like r/hentaicaptions that is to say, its blatant kinkiness. The evenness of the votes provided me the concern that change was greatly wanted, however, the comments reinforced my belief that the ruling made by me and Arschhaarknaeuel was the correct decision. As many have reinforced, we do not want to spoil the uniqueness of this sub by altering the requirement of images just as "degenerate" as the captions made for them. Just as a precaution and clarification I'll go over the rule and any updates for it in order to reinforce the position of this sub. **Rule 1: Image and caption must both have a BDSM related theme** **The definition of the word "theme" is up for debate. If we took it as literally as possible, any image containing a man/woman wearing BDSM-themed clothing or holding a restraint would qualify. Something like this** [https://danbooru.donmai.us/posts/3989731](https://danbooru.donmai.us/posts/3989731) **would be an example of that. I do not believe images like this are sufficient and belong on a different captioning subreddit.** However, images containing a man/woman holding a restraint, rope, straitjacket, chastity belt, may see a bit more leniency when going through the approval method as that falls much more in line with what the sub is about. As u/Bitchsuit_Enthusiast provided, galleries can contain images that don't include restraints so long as at least one of the images in that gallery provides a person restrained by any form of bondage. A similar leniency can be found with u/Maiades, whose advent calendar series of captions contained a caption (part 7) that included no bondage in the image. That sort of leniency is attributed to a long plan post schedule and general faith that they'll include bondage going forth. Finally, more abstractly depicted captions, such as u/The69thAttempt's [The Tease Caption](https://www.reddit.com/r/HentaiBondageTales/comments/r9mvw9/the_tease_part_1/) will also not be allowed going forwards as they don't provide bondage, nor even a lewd woman. **Overall the criteria for an image being within parameters for Rule 1 include:** **- Image contains some form of bondage restraints depicted. These restraints** ***should*** **be depicted as being worn by someone and not just mentioned in the caption.** **- Image is not just a woman or man wearing BDSM attire such as a latex outfit. Unless that latex is restraining them in some way, that image does not count.** **- The image must be clear in what it is depicting. Just a simple latex sheet or hard to discern object does not count.** \- **If you are posting a gallery/collage of several images, at least one of the images needs to follow all of the criteria above, with the others allowed to not include bondage.** **Thank you all for your continued support, feedback, and patience, I will continue to do my best as a Mod to listen to the community and learn.
